YAN Sri Lanka 5th Director Board Meeting 2023
The fifth board meeting of YAN Sri Lanka was conducted on 28,29,30th July 2023 in Colombo. Around 60 district directors participated to the meeting and workshop.

Training Programme on Sexual and Reproductive Health
The National Program Analyst of UNFPA, Ms. Sarah Soysa held an initial training on sexual and reproductive health for the district directors of the YAN Sri Lanka youth network on July 29, 2023.

New Technical Advisory Committee meeting on Young People's Health - Family Health Bureau, Ministry of Health
The Adolescent and Youth Health Unit of Family Health Bureau, Ministry of Health's held the first Technical Advisory Committee Meeting of the year on April 25, 2023. YAN Sri Lanka is again a member of the Technical Advisory Committee Meeting this year.

Leadership Programme for Youth living in Urban Flats
The Estates and Urban Health unit of the Ministry of Health is implementing youth health promotion programs in six selected urban flats, with the purpose of empowering young people. YAN Sri Lanka collaborated, and YAN members provided youth-friendly leadership programs for youth living in flats.

Another noteworthy campaign initiated by YAN Sri Lanka was the series of town campaigns leading up to World No Tobacco Day on 31st May 2023.

The ASOMBRO V.3.0 Award Night
The ASOMBRO V.3.0 Award Night, a highly anticipated event in the Sri Lankan youth community, was held on 1st October 2022 at the prestigious Colombo Janaki Hotel. The evening served as a platform to express sincere appreciation for the outstanding service rendered by the dedicated individuals of the 2021 YAN Management, Resource Pool Members, and District Directors.

Valentine's Day Camping for tobacco prevention
One of the most notable and heartwarming programs organized by YAN Sri Lanka was the Valentine's Day celebration on 14th February 2023, held at the vibrant premises of Majestic City. The objective of this campaign was de-glamorize the tobacco use among youth.

On April 1st, 2023, YAN Sri Lanka launched a remarkable initiative known as the "Town Campaign series" to draw attention to the connection between April 1st and individuals who still smoke.
